Misc. Post-War Baseball

Minor league baseball experienced its greatest success in the late 1940s. As the war wound to a close, soldiers came home to a country that was enamored with baseball. A booming economy

and the advent of night games made it possible for far more people to have the leisure to enjoy the sport, and as a result, they came out to ballparks in droves. In the years following the war, minor league baseball spread to cities throughout a growing country, and the game truly experienced a Golden Era. Also included here are images from women's baseball, the Negro Leagues, Cuba and even youth baseball.
