Here is a set of Japanese 1949 Home Run Crayons. Inside are photos of 10 baseball stars. The players pictured include Makoto Kozuru, Torao Ooka, Fumio Fujimura, Tetsuharu Kawakami, Kaoru Betto, Michio Nishizawa, Hiroshi Oshita, Juzo Sanada, Tokuji Iida and Shigeru Chiba. Oaka is the only one who hasn't been inducted in the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame. Kozura hit .361 in '49 to win the batting title. Kawakami was an excellent hitter and first baseman who earned the nickname, "The God of Batting," and later won 11 pennants as a manager.  Fujimura was one of the best third basemen in the country's history, and was famously superstitious and hot-headed. Chita was a slick-fielding second baseman.
